About Me

Hello there!
My name is Nuno Neves
I am 24 years old and aspiring 3D Animator with a great passion, a keen eye for storytelling and a skill set extending various different areas from digital to traditional art.
I can draw, storyboard, write stories, do 3D Animation, edit video, make graphic designs and understand the ins and outs of what makes a piece of media entertaining.
I knew since I was a kid that I wanted to work in the animated movies that I was so inspired by, so from that point on I did everything I could to put me in that direction.
I have achieved a BA at the University of Hertfordshire in 3D Animation, Modelling and VFX. I pursued this course at 19 fresh off High School, living by myself in the United Kingdom while working hard on both my course and jobs to keep me going.
I dedicated my all to my course and passed with distinction, but due to various factors including the Covid-19 pandemic and the struggling state of the industry for Juniors, I was not able to find a job in my field.
Because of that I found jobs in hospitality, in which I worked very hard and learned a lot of skills that I believe have actually contributed a lot for me as a person and as a future animator: from working multiple sections at very intense kitchens to delivering top of the notch service as a Front of House Team Member in busy food chains like Wagamama, this duties nurtured my tolerance to pressure, my organization skills, my team working spirit and specially my problem solving abilities.
While doing this jobs I pursued 3D Character Animation Workshops with IAnimate.net.
At this workshops we learn in an Industry-like environment, with weekly feedback sessions where we are given notes on our shots and have to apply it for the next class.
I have successfuly completed 3 of this workshops, Workshop 3, 4 and 5 with industry giants like Tal Shwarzman and Alexis Wanneroy.
They polished my technical skills, my eye and my artistic sense, and I learned a lot about subtle acting, body mechanics and how to make an entertaining shot.
I am still on the search for a job after 2 years and am open to remote, hybrid or office jobs in either area of the entertainment sphere, preferrably in the 3D Animation Industry.
I also do freelance jobs as a graphic designer for different small companies and those experiences have given me very valuable experience dealing with clients demands, expectations and on-the-spot changes.
I am far from giving up on my dream and any opportunity will be welcomed.
All I need is a company to believe my potential and to give me the setting and time I need to fully reach it.
Feel free to contact me via nneves3danimation@gmail.com.
I have the right to work and live across all europe plus in the United Kingdom, where I am about to hold Settled Status.
Thank you for your time and see you at work,
Nuno
